About the Clinic

Broken Coast Therapy is a place where you can show up just as you are. We know how stressful & busy life can get so we want to meet you where you are and offer our support to get you to where you want to be. Our sessions are held virtually & in-nature to provide a flexible, unique therapy experience for the residents of British Columbia.

The clinic was founded on Vancouver Island, on the traditional lands of the Cowichan Tribes. We are incredibly thankful to live, work, and play in such a breathtaking location.

Our intention is to build & serve the community around us - whether that means offering our support across the province, or meeting a local nearby on the trails. We welcome individuals from all walks of life, experiences and backgrounds. . . because it is through our individuality that we build connection, grow together, and create a truly support supportive community.

Meet the Founder

“Welcome, it’s lovely to meet you!

My name is Janaya Andrews & I founded Broken Coast Therapy.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University & a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria.

I have completed the ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider course with over ~30hrs of extensive training to support clients through executive functioning challenges.

I’m delighted to offer virtual therapy services to the residents of British Columbia, as well as local walk & talk sessions to those residing in the Cowichan Valley.

In a world where we are so focused on technology & keeping up with the latest trends, I think it’s more important than ever to take time to slow down & reflect on ourselves.

Therapy, to me, represents one dedicated hour [however often you need] to reflect on how your life is going, what challenges you are facing, and which direction you would like to go.

Conversations are powerful & what we say matters. Our words hold weight and can significantly impact the way we think, feel, and act in our daily lives.

In my experience, the most meaningful change occurs when we come to session ready to speak openly about our challenges. It’s in that honesty and willingness to be seen that our shared humanity shines the brightest.”
